This mid 1960’s set of R.G Hardie’s is a great set of pipes – sound just as they should – resonant, true-tone, and 100% reliable. You cant go wrong with Hardies.
Purchased in the mid 70’s from a pipe sergeant from Sydney, Australia. Used in competition a few years back, with positive feedback on tone.
They are flat-combed design, mounted in catalin (used by Hardie up to the 70’s) with nickel ferrules. Included are:
- An as-new Bannatyne pipe bag – works great
- As-new moose value (guaranteed for 2 years..)
- The blowpipe is not original – its made from Blackwood and off an older set of pipes
- Included is a wooden McFarlaine chanter
- Also comes with an as-new pipe case as pictured (bagpiper-case.com in black as pictured..)
Any test-play welcome. Will post anywhere at buyers expense. Usually no more than around AUS$250 (or US$170) to the USA.
