SOLD For sale is an Vintage R G Lawrie, Glasgow Blackwood chanter.
The Chanter is in good condition showing light finish wear overall. The length of the chanter is 13 7/8″ approx. in length. The ivory sole is lovely with a concave top surface and a delicate raised lip just inside of the rim on both top and bottom. The ivory sole has a warm yellow appearance and does have a stain on the top side. There are various small chips along the edge of the sole. The width across the sole is 2 6/8″. The diameter of the wood bulb is very close to 1 1/8″ . There is chipping to the edge of the bulb but no splitting to the reed seat. The bulb is marked in small caps R G Lawrie, Glasgow. The chanter is uncarved.
