For sale:
Early 1920’s Ebony Robertson GHB. Fully refurbished by Dunbar. I’ve had these just over a year but just don’t have time to dedicate to multiple sets and these should be played.
A bit of recent history on this set. A previous owner of this set was a Scottish gentleman by the name of Adam Michie. He was playing with Shotts & Dykehead or Scottish Power and was recruited at the Worlds approximately 4-5 years ago to be the PM for New Zealand Police PB. He then moved on to Auckland & District PB. There is also a YouTube video of him playing this set on the boards at the Pitlochry Highland Games back in 2014.
Full ebony drones with original German silver ferrules & black casein mounts. The original Casein drone tops were cracked and replaced with Dunbar’s premium artificial ivory. Glass like bores and distinctive drone profiles typical of the early Robertson sets. Tone is typical Robertson, full, refined, and extremely steady. Sound profile can be provided upon request.
Stocks tied into an Extended-small Gannaway hide bag. Missing original blowpipe and blowpipe stock. (Purchased from previous seller this way.) A Gibson split-stock and Airstream adjustable blowpipe replacement are provided so no issues with cracking.
EzeeDrone Tenors and Kinnaird Evo carbon bass reed included. Pipes are set up and ready to play.
No chanter.
