Happy these are Hardie pipes (not marked), not just because the chanter and the new case is Hardie.
Nice set, no replacement parts, only bass top has a little damage. Some sections have remnants of metal cleaner from previous owner cleaning the ferrules and not being too careful around the wood. I have my own 3 sets and that’s plenty, so these have been stored, but really need played as they sound good.
Have tested with drone reeds and these sound really nice. The chanter is likely to be a collectors piece, as the test I did shows its a bit flat, but the pipes still tuned to a modern pitch with my poly McCallum chanter (not included).
Canmore bag, black/ gold trim cover, original pipe chanter, gold cords and as new Hardie carry case. No chanter reed, no drone reeds, no cracks.
Must be from late 70’s, possibly earlier, although not positive.
Postage to any UK postcode – add £30, insured and tracked. Collection preferred, so you can check them out for yourself.
I’ll happily keep these, even though I have a few sets, so no offers. Some negotiation may be done if anyone has a Piob Mhor long practice chanter they don’t mind parting with, or perhaps some other bagpipe related item.
£630 fixed. Sticks ‘n’ stocks only – £570.
