Very rare, fully restored Donald MacPhee (c. 1873-1880) bagpipes in ebony and fully mounted with ivory (projecting mounts, ferrules, ring caps, bushes). Complete restoration done Roddy Maclellan in 2021. One tenor stock, blowpipe and chanter stock were replaced for cracks, all mounts original except chanter ferrule. Wood and mounts solid, only one hairline crack on the lower tenor but only superficial and not leaking. Beautiful, full tone but very well refined… Gorgeous sound! The chanter is an ebony Maclellan I had made for it and goes well with it. I’m looking for $3200 for pipes, sheepskin bag and chanter, email me if interested and for more information.
