These are stamped P. Henderson Ltd under each cord guide which dates the pipe to after 1929 which is when the company was incorporated. They have thick seamed nickel ferrules which dates the pipes to around the 1930s / 1940s. I have pictures of the set alongside other early sets and the profiles and bores lined up. The tenor tops were interchangeable with a cocus Ivory set (Peter Henderson – Glasgow stamped) that were dated to the 20s. This has the classic big bass, bold tenor sound that Henderson pipes are sought after for. I’ve kept these on for years despite trying other fancier looking Henderson sets. They are very well made, true bores and not a single crack. I’ve played these as my main set for 10 years. Happy to send video clips and happy to have people try them out in Glasgow. They have Robertson stocks and an old Glen cocus bass stock.
