SOLD This is a Scottish Made kilt that I purchased about 11 or 12 years back, one of two that I purchased at the time. I purchased these from an online shop in Scotland though I cannot remember the makers name at this time. I have always purchased Scottish made items, whether pipes, uniforms or military items, all are authentic items.
This is a Hunting Stewart kilt, the smallest waist size this will fit is 36″ and the largest is 39 1’2″ down by adjusting the belt buckles. Made of 100% Scottish wool, with 3 1/8″ pleats. I would think this is made from 16 oz weight wool, as the kilt weigh 2 lbs 10 oz. It may be a lighter weight of wool but it has a good hand/weight. The leather straps are of good strong leather with sturdy buckles as one would expect. There are two belt loops on the front of the kilt. The kilt is cotton lined.
Additional dimensions show in the photo of the tag.
I believe these were in the $375.00 range when I purchased them years back. This is a quality garment
These will be well wrapped and require a signature upon delivery. Delivery will be $23.00 in the USA
Stored with my other kilts for many years and never worn. I was a piper and collector of Scottish/English Militaria and have sold off over a dozen rare pipes (see Ring Bowen’s page) and militaria over the years. I have a very nice collection of sporrans that I may part in the future and regimental dirks and sign dubhs.
