Now for sale is my 4 keyed Andreas Rogge Blackwood C chanter. I have just lowered the price by £450 as there was not a lot of interest. This now an amazing bargain! I had it decorated in Udaipur when I was living there and the two small elephants on the bottom ferrule might not be to everyone’s style. But this is a very sweet-sounding and in-tune chanter that has great intonation and a lovely Hard Bottom D. There is a right-hand thumb mount in cork and velvet to help my too curvy thumb feel at home. This could be easily filed down or removed, but try it out first as it may suit you. My own reed has been in this chanter for many years, and I will include another that suits it as well. I prefer a slightly quieter sound than most other pipers and I made a short video of this instrument that is presently on the Uilleann Swap or Sell site on Facebook. I have a sliver of cork in the third hole from the bottom and I had to scallop the very last hole for better tuning and an easier reach. I shall really miss this sweet player, but I am now saving up for a first class Irish wood flute so it’s time to pass this along to another happy piper. There is no natural mounts on this chanter and thus I can post it to America with no problem. Thanks for reading. You might see/hear this chanter if you go to the following:
p.s. The bellows pictured is not included in this sale. I just like this photo. Cheers!
