$2,999 USD, OBO
For the piper looking for a classic set of S/I pipes…here’s a premium early 1970s set of RG Hardie bagpipes with hallmarked sterling silver ferrules, slides and ring caps. The heavy chased thistle silver pattern is classic Narborough hallmarked pattern on all pieces. The natural projecting mounts, mouthpiece bulb, and bushes are in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks or staining. Patina of the projecting mounts is consistent with age. Original hemp stops are intact. New hemp for all joints.
Note that the blowpipe mouthpiece is in excellent condition with matching sterling slide and a bulb that has no cracks or splits!
The set is sold as sticks, stocks…no chanter. (The chanter in the pictures does not match this set of pipes and is not included in the sale. )
Hardie is renown for excellent stocks of African Blackwood…this is no exception to that. Bagpipe wood appears crack-free, straight and overall excellent condition with original high gloss see-through finish.
Overall patina of this set of pipes is consistent with very careful use and storage and no abuse.
