These beautiful Thow pipes from approximately 1910 were restored by Ross Johnston recently within a year or 2. Apparently, he found them in an antique shop and refurbished them. One of the tenor tops may be a replacement, but it is Thow
Normally if I’m selling a set of pipes on here, I would have refurbished and hemped myself, but Ross did such a good job, I’m just passing them on as is.
The bass stock was cracked, and Ross made a new one, the original is included with the set. The chanter stock has the “nick” cut out for Tying in to Skin bag, Not a great job, but considering age and all, it’s appropriate and pictured. The Bass Drone cord guide has 2 nicks and are pictured.
I am told they are ebony, and the wood is in great shape, as are the “Natural” mounts.
