I bought the pipes second hand in the premises of J & R Glen in the Lawnmarket in Edinburgh c 1977
The chanter is by RG Lawrie of Glasgow but the pipes were almost certainly fashioned by J & R Glen of Edinburgh. They are most likely made of Cocus wood, while the mounts are ivory. They have not been played for many years, so they would need a new bag and new reeds but the pipes themselves are in excellent condition and look attractive.
The last pic shows them against a full set to show their dimensions. It was taken by my friends Fin and Hamish Moore in their workshop. They examined and evaluated the pipes for me before I advertised them here.
