This is an incredibly accurate replica of a rope tension snare drum. It was given to me by Pipe Major Sam Scott of Manotick, who I studied piping with. The famous 6/8 march was named for him.
The drum is 6-5/8″ top to bottom, and 6-1/2″ in diameter. It is emblazoned with the battle honors of The Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa as well as their regimental badge.
Sam Scott played the troops ashore as they landed on D-Day during WWII. He was also the Pipe Major of The Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa. A fantastic teacher, piper, and friend.
I’m including a Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa cap badge that he gifted me as well. Both the cap badge and the drum are in new, pristine condition, always kept in my display case.
The drum was made as an ice bucket, with removable lid, although it was never utilized as such.
Price is $100 USD plus an additional $20 USD for shipping. Will ship to USA addresses only.
