I am allowed to post this after asking, so here’s hoping I have better luck than other sites.
Selling a FolkFriends branded cittern I bought several years ago wanting to learn accompaniment, but never got around to it. I want to put the money into a new set of pipes. It is currently tuned Cc-Gg-Dd-aa-ee with a scale length of I think 25 ish inches. The lowest three string pairs are tuned in octaves for a more punchy low-end sound. It has an inbuilt Fishman tuner which does work, the battery is simply dead and I do not have a spare 9V battery laying around, and I believe it can be plugged into an amplifier through the bottom strap button. You will also get a capo and the soft case Ive been using to store it free of charge. It uses a standard guitar strap from what I can see, but I do not own one so you’d have to supply that on your own.
It has no functional damage to speak of, and the only aesthetic damage I can find is some fading of the logo on the top of the peghead and what looks to be some fading of an aesthetic line along the edge of the soundbox. Other than that, it’s just a little dusty
Asking $775 CAD with buyer paying shipping. It retails new for around $1200 CAD plus taxes, shipping from Germany and importation fees. As well, I remember FolkFriends being the only retail outlet/factory even creating citterns, as most are custom built by various luthiers for many thousands of dollars. Buying this one means getting a practically brand new condition instrument for 64 percent of the price, all while skipping out on taxes, paying no import fee if you live in Canada or the US (I can ship from either) and likely paying at least a little less for shipping than to get it from Europe. I will ship worldwide but obviously if you don’t live in Canada or the US, import fees will likely apply and shipping will cost more. Still, everyone in the world gets the 40 percent discount from the brand new price and no one has to pay the associated taxes the store imposes, meaning it is still a hefty discount on a basically brand new instrument that has been picked up less than 15 total times, let alone actually played.

A humorous warning that the videos I can send are rather rudimentary when it comes to my playing ability because, as stated above, I do not know how to play it, haha. I barely know the C, A, G, E, and D chords on it. Still, Ill do my best to showcase the sound for anyone who asks.
