Vintage late 1920′ or early 1930s 3/4 size, GHB with genuine ivory drone mounts, ferrules, and chanter sole, nickel silver slides, original chords, ribbons, and bag covers. Well used, with signs of wear but still in playable condition.
Maker is actually unknown, but guessed by Ron Bowen (TheBagpipePlace) to match the work of Robert Gillanders.
Prior owner stated these had been appraised at $2,700 and that Jimmy MacIntosh had said they were in the likeness of the pipes played by the Boy Scouts in Scotland.
I have begun to mate it up with modern drone and chanter reeds and modern bag. I have too many pipes, so I would like to pass this work in progress to the next person to complete per their preferences, or, to simply own this set for its antique value.
