Each stick and stock has the same Army mark, date and serial number, except the blowstick stock, a good match but a different serial number replacement.
Apart from that, these look to have never had a refurb, which means the character has been preserved. I’ve tried to show the very slight damage to the base drone ring cap. One of the drone stocks has been used as the template to cut the holes for a few skin bags (remember those days, folks?) and does have a slight crack, which I’ve pictured. The blowstick mount has curious scores on the underside. The blowstick stock has had a repair to it, gluing a crack in the wood. This hasn’t been done too well, but is still airtight. The catalin mounts have discoloured fairly evenly, but it has to be said not every one is the same shade, which is sometimes how they go. These sound like a lot of issues, but I have been as honest as I can, which is important, I feel.
Additionally, I have found a fault in one of the tenor bushes, as in the last picture. It’s not been repaired very well, but it is only cosmetic. A repair would be almost impossible to do as the replacement bush would not be of the same colour (it’s white to start with).
When bagged & reeded up, these look fine and sound really nice.
I do have a Hardie pipe chanter that can go with these, but it’s not the same vintage.
Drone cords included.
There’s no bag, bag cover or drone reeds with this sale.
