This is the cream of the crop as far as gaita go. Made by the best out there, the attention to detail is remarkable. It is fashioned from granadillo with imitation and silver mounts. The tuning slides are even fully lined in silver. If is a three drone gaita with a low, mid, and high drone which plays a G. The lowest drone reeds are synthetic and maintenance free. The chanter is open fingering and plays 1.5 chromatic octaves with ease, in a master’s hands even more notes are possible. It’s in the key of C which is the most popular in Galicia. I bought the set new and rarely have used it due to way too many other instruments I’m trying to learn, I just can’t keep up.
