These are Dave Atherton Pipes with premier internal profile, Macdougal external profile. CITES Ivory, hall marked silver, custom engraved to the Famous 48th Highlanders motif and thistles throughout. This is a very rare stand as they are the only Macdougal Premiers made by Dave. The stand was assembled on a L&M zipper bag that is leather inside and synthetic externally. It comes with both the ceremonial Ivory mouth piece and a standard. Comes white a Cron plastic chanter. No other chanter is provided. Comes in a custom aluminum and poly case. This set was assembled and kept in storage as an heirloom. As you can imagine the pipes cost much more than they are posted here for and that was started in 2010 and I received them in 2014 when Dave was getting out of the business. They have not been played other than testing and are in a controlled environment and maintained through oiling and waxing. I can’t believe I have to do this!! To the lucky lad that buys them.
