For sale is a set of 1910 David Glen bagpipes in full ivory, purchased from Jimmy McIntosh. Comes with a Shepherd ABW chanter with ivory sole added on by Jimmy, probably made 28 years ago. Has original blowpipe with Little Mac Valve, Bannatyne extended small bag with bottom zipper and grommets. Handmade black velveteen pipe bag and silk navy colored cords. I am using Balance Tone HR (USA version) reeds with good results. There’s a couple of superficial cracks which I put some cyanoacrilate into just in case. One chip on bass drone mount as pictured, the rest are in pretty good shape for their age. Comes with a letter of authenticity by Jimmy McIntosh and CITES certificate. Characteristic Glen tone, they require a few minutes of warming up and then they lock right in. I’ve owned these since around 1994, reason for sale is I am not playing them much since I bought a set of Hendersons. Sorry, no sales outside of continental USA, not interested in trades.
