It is a difficult decision to sell my Henderson bagpipes because I do not play enough to justify keeping them. I oil them regularly and keep them in a climate controlled room.
Ron Bowen appraised and authenticated them. R.G. Hardie and others have guessed they are pre-WW1 P. Hendersons with elephant ivory fittings in exceptional and original condition. No cracks or chips. These pipes match 1910 set on Jim Gillivray’s website.
It includes a new Bannatyne synthetic bag, Canning reeds, a spare set of Eezedrone reeds and I think the original canes reeds. The synthetic bag cover and cords are new.
I have a fairly history of these pipes. The previous owner can be seen playing them in the movie ‘The Way West”.
I prefer the buyer to come to my home to see and inspect them. Canadian shipping and CITES exporting is very risky.
