1920s Ebony Robertson pipes

Ebony Robertson pipes –  drones from arguably the finest era of this maker.   Flat-combed, wood mounts, with nickel ferrules that show the center scribe line indicative to this maker.  This set was saved from the stove and completely rebuilt by Burley Bagpipe Co. in Penticton, BC.  Wood cracks were whip-repaired in the mid-bass tuning chamber, tenor and bass top, and bass bottom, and the bass bores trued.  New drone rings and bushes made from Resin-Ivory+S.  New stocks and blowpipe have been made from delrin to match the dark ebony.  These are a player’s pipe; a sleek and elegant profile with the impressive blend of Robertson drones, the tone of ebony, and the crack-free maintenance ease of delrin.  Classic sound with modern convenience.
