1920s Cocus wood GHB with wooden projecting mounts, caesin ring caps and nickel ferrules. The projecting mount on the bass drone mid joint is a replacement as is the blowstick. The stocks are Robertson stocks but are flatcombed unlike the main set of drones which are combed and beaded. The chanter is a Robertson unaltered and with a catalin sole. The pipe is fully reeded and tied in to a traditional hide bag. This pipe will suit a piper who is seeking the Robertson tone but who is less worried about decoration or originality of the various parts which have been added by its previous owner who was a very experienced piper from Northern Ireland. The asking price of £1000 obo plus P&P reflects this. ( This pipe is also listed elsewhere.) If desired the pipe can be supplied as “sticks and stocks” and chanter with or withour the wooden box.
