A set of 1948 MacPhee bagpipes, made in Wellington, New Zealand by Neil MacPhee, among others founder of the New Zealand Police pipe band. The set was made brand new for the first and only owner, who sadly passed away about two years ago.
The set is in excellent condition. No notable blemishes or defects.
Completely setup and in playable condition, with L&M bag and cane reeds.
Including original chanter.
Also included is a MacPhee practice chanter.
An included valuation report from 2008 states a value of $9,000 NZD, which would be $11,250 now in 2021.
