On offer are complete 1982 vintage Kintail bagpipes, drones and Blackwood chanter (unaltered), with engraved, hallmarked silver ferrules and slides and imitation ivory mounts. These bagpipes are in excellent condition and have had one owner. They have been in the case and not played for at least 30 years. Kintail mark on drones with date stamp and numbered chanter. A very nice stand of pipes.
The pipes have been cleaned up, hemped and tested, and are ready to play out of the box with a brand new Bannatyne hybrid pipe bag, G1 chanter reed, and EZeedrone drone reeds. Also included is the original case (some light scuffs and marks; and paint smears?), velvet bag cover (light stain on one of the fringes), and brand new silver drone cords. A couple of small nicks as shown and a few of the silver ferrules turn, which is common on an older set of pipes.
Proceeds from this sale will fund educational piping and drumming scholarships to deserving students in the St. Columcille United Gaelic Pipe Band of Kearny, NJ—celebrating 75 years of continuous music!
