Up for sale is an Antique set of Duncan MacRaes circa 1910s with wood mounts and Nickel ferrules/hempless slides. Look to be very dark ABW. Maybe Ebony, but I’m not 100% Sure.
Sold as sticks, stocks and blowpipe.
About the pipes:
I played them late 2024 and all of 2025. A great set of pipes that tune well and stay locked in for extended playing without any issues. Both the tenor and bass bottom hempless slides work well with plenty of life. The mid bass section must have bin a re-pin repair as the slide was replaced and converted to hemp. That was done long before I purchased them. All the slides have a little bit of wiggle, but stay put and work great. Each one looks to be stamped with the “Patent pending” and “30115/09” that they did. 2 of the ferrules on the stocks are loose, other than that, they all appear to have no cracks or issues. Top drone rings/bushings are Iv*y mounted.
Original blow pipe included (I didn’t use it). Poly blowpipe made in its likeness also included.
Selling as I have 5 other sets and I can’t keep ’em all going.
