Bagpipes circa 1960s.
I have tried to identify these, but have been unsuccessful for a definitive so far. Lewis Turrell thought they where Hendersons, and others have guessed at hardie……update to that, as The Bagpipe Place says they are definitely not Hardies……..
estimated age is between ww2 and early 1970’s, although i do seem to remember early 60’s being mentioned when they where bought. catalin mounts and a couple of odd parts that have real ivory on them as you can see from the picture. these where bought this way and have a nice mellow hum to the tone of the drones. they have stood me well in the past and proved themselves through the Macleay Duff days in grade one many years ago. play them as they are or have them revamped, these would be perfect for your young beginner, before they grow into a full silver set thanks very much Mum and Dad!
(does not come with the cords in the picture.)
inspections welcome.
Have a used pipers case to throw in as well….outside left pocket flap needs sewing back up, all other pockets, zips and straps all good.
offers welcome
