Fantastic condition for age all original parts, blow stick has been repaired at some point
For sale Three quarter set, Half set or parlour pipes what ever you wish to call them !! these pipes are not as loud as full sized GHB which makes them perfect for home practice or if you have a child learning the pipes then they are great for them to learn on also due to being lighter and easier to play.Henry Starck was a flutemaker by trade, but was convinced to make bagpipes by Willie Ross in the late 1880′s. The firm operated until 1962. Starck pipes have a few distinguishing traits, one being a deep combing and beading. They were well made with attention to detail. One minor flaw was the use of extremely low quality nickel for the ferrules in the early 1900′s.
These pipes were made by H Starck not sure of age but early 1900’s for a Music shop in Dunedin N Z called Chass Begg & Co which is stamped on the original chanter. One of the photos show the size difference with my full size H Starcks (not for sale) along side the three quarter set Pipes come with original chanter and a modern made poly chanter.
