Brand new quality handmade medieval-style bagpipes with a single drone and open fingering (see fingering chart in photos). Made of ash wood timber stained black and varnished with a real leather bag with a quality microfiber cover that can be removed. Brass ferrules.
The pipes have a great sound and are very loud for outdoor use – perfect for festivals or playing with amplified instruments. They are easy to play with open G fingering but do take a lot of air pressure – similar to Scottish highland pipes. The reed is synthetic so is very stable and won’t go out of tune or be affected by changes in humidity and temperature like traditional cane reeds.
Mouth-blown. High-pressure bag – similar to highland bagpipe pressure.
