Ok, I’LL BE HONEST, I DON’T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE PROVENANCE OF THIS BEAUTIFUL INSTRUMENT Natural mount early 20th century with booming overtones galore. The STOCKS are brass lined. I don’t know why someone would do that? NO CRACKSI So I had to use REAL Thermowax on the drone bottoms to insure they didn’t spin when tuning . 1 Cob of Thermowax included. They are presently tied to a Gannaway bag that is airtight, but no guarantees. Original blowstick and stock included as well as a plastic split stock water trap tube (no guarantees) I didn’t waste a lot on the accoutrements, because someone who wants to play this nice set probably knows the set up they want to play. tenor drone lower sections vary slightly. I have set them up with both EEZEDRONE and Highland Reeds HR3 with great tone. I didn’t put in cane but I bet if you are a cane person you would love this set .
No chanter
I have oiled these a few times hemped them and played them quite a bit. No cracks but obvious chips and wear due to age
Please note that the pictures don’t do the hemp work justice as I had to do a lot of work due to brass lined stocks
As one renowned bagpipe expert advised a potential purchaser “look at those, the only reason you would buy that set is if they sound great“ EXACTLY
