Created for me by Michael MacHarg (Wee Piper, Vermont, USA), it is one of three bagpipe styles of ancient Brittany. This Veuze (Veze Poitou) is patterned after pipes Michael researched on trips to France.
Built in 1995, but played only twice, it is expertly crafted by Michael from select cocobolo, with moose antler mounts. Pitched in the key of C = (do).
It is a complete set – bag, single 3-piece drone, blowpipe, chanter and reeds (3 chanter reeds and one drone reed), plus two cleaners/swabs, and a ball of hemp (lifetime supply). Includes a roll-up canvas storage organizer for the set components and swabs.
In addition, I am including a VHS tape “Festival Interceltique de Lorient” as well as 12 CDs (“The Ace and Deuce of Pipering 1906-1947”, 2 featuring Tri Yann, 2 featuring Bagad Kemper, and 7 others.) Also includes research documentation and notes on Breton piping acquired over almost 30 years.
