The time has come for me and my Dave Williams full set to take different paths. My environment does not allow me to play as regularly as I should. This set needs to be in the hands of someone who can play more often than me.
I collected these pipes in Dave Williams’ workshop in May 1999, more than 3 years after having ordered them.
This full set is the second stainless steel full set made by Dave (he told me this when I collected my pipes).
It corresponds to the fully mounted version (finest African Blackwood, imitation ivory, stainless steel).
The set is in perfect playing conditions (easy to play, fully tuned and balanced, all keys are in perfect working condition).
I fully restored it with the precious help from Daniel Gloaguen (Reeds & Bellows) and Mallory Pogam (Uilleann Pipes and Scottish Small Pipes maker in French Britany).
All reeds are new (except tenor and baritone drones’ reeds that are Dave’s original reeds). These new reeds have been made by Daniel Gloaguen. I have several spare chanter reeds with it. I also still have the regulators original reeds as spares.
The bag has been changed in 2021 by Daniel Gloaguen.
The set comes with its original hard case (pictures included).

I would strongly recommend to collect this set in France (you can enter France without quarantine from almost anywhere if you are vaccinated). Shipping, insurance & customs fees may be expensive. The case is large and heavy. The set also. I would also be very worried to ship my set even with DHL.

I would consider partial or total exchange with a B full set from same quality pipe maker (depending on pipe maker and state of the set).
