Selling my set of David booth bagpipes made of African Blackwood. These pipes have an exceptional sound and are very powerful. I had them for my first set and have been the proud owner for over a year, they have never let me down. I now have a new set of pipes which forces sale as I can’t play two at the same time and it would be a shame to see these collect dust.
The pipes will come as you can see in the photos without a bag for £490 or with a brand new Canmore hybrid bag and water trap, drone reeds and a chanter Reed for £590.
Included in the sale regardless of the bag is a blackwood blowpipe and all blackwood matching stocks. The pipes have African blackwood projection mounts and slides making them very durable, they have imitation ivory ring caps and all nickel ferrules. The drones are fully combed and beaded making them a very attractive set. They were made roughly in 1990. The blowpipe stock has a crack in it but I will supply a brand new plastic split stock and valve for the blowpipe. The middle tenor stock ferrule fell off and was attempted to be glued back on, it got stuck halfway. I have been quoted £10 to get this off and I have a spare ferrule that matches the pipes to go with it, i can have thus fixed before buyer collects or i post, its up to the buyer.
i would consider a swap for a set of ABW smallpipes or a blair digital chanter
