David Naill DN3ES model bagpipes made for me in 2016. Thistle-design, engraved silver slides. Two sets of stocks – Matching imitation ivory, and upgraded to a second matching engraved silver set of stocks. There are some small chips in the imitation ivory on the tenors (pictured).
With another season cancelled, it seems like the right time to find these a new home.
These pipes have had a good run in the few years I’ve played them. Some notable plays include winning the 2017 Livingstone Invitational, winning the 2019 Lochaber Gathering, prizes in the light music at Oban, playing in the Live Back in Ireland concert in Belfast in 2017, and on stage at the ScotiaBank Arena, with my brother’s rock band, Black Pistol Fire.
I am selling because I have another two sets, and one more set that will be on the way.
These pipes have presence and plenty of harmonics.
