Circa 2020 set of pristine David Naill DNV3 bagpipes. These are Naills’ antique model turned from African Blackwood with flat, non-beaded ferrules and ring caps and smaller projecting mounts, which contribute to the antique look.
The mounts,ferrules and caps are all “aged” imitation ivory which shows the richer color and variation that occurs with ivory over time. Features a narrower profile – when compared to the standard Naill pipe with subtle changes to the bass bore that provides a more powerful sound. The harmonics as you’d expect are fantastic.
The original owner suffered an accident after he purchased them and couldn’t play them. They stayed in a humidified case pretty much until I purchased them in September this year. Essentially brand new in every respect. No cracks, dings or chips anywhere.
Only played for about 8 hours in total. Reason for sale is I have a custom set just about ready to be made, and so these need a new home.
Sold as “sticks and stocks”. No chanter or bag. I also have the Manufacturer Cites document as
well. But as these are imitation ivory, no issues with crossing borders.
