For sale here is a very fine set of pipes from Dunbar Bagpipes. This pipe is Dunbar’s MacDougall model, known as “The Breadalbane”, produced in collaboration with renowned piper Jim McGillivray. The model is a reproduction of a famous set of Duncan MacDougall bagpipes c. 1880.
This bagpipe was made for me a couple of years ago by Dunbar, and has seen limited use, hence why it is in fantastic condition. It is an exceptionally well crafted bagpipe, all African blackwood, with natural holly mounts and nickel slides. The blowpipe is poly-lined for increased durability.
The only reason I’m selling this set is that I just don’t have the time to keep multiple sets of pipes going these days, and considering I have a couple of family/antique sets, I’ve decided to part ways with this one.
Included in the sale:
- All original “sticks and stocks” for the Dunbar MacDougall bagpipe
- MacCallum poly pipe chanter
- Affixed to medium Bannatyne hybrid-synthetic pipe bag
- Bag cover and cords as seen will be included as well
Please reach out with any questions. Welcome to play them or see them in person, also willing to ship at buyers expense.
