Set of Gillanders silver and ivory bagpipes previously owned by a piper in the Scots Guards. Pipes are in good overall condition with the only anomaly of note beaing a small chip to the outside tenor lower projecting mount bead as pictured.
The pipes have a small silver shield on the bass stock with the following details:
‘PIPER
P.McFARLANE
2nd BATTALLION
SCOT GUARDS’
The hand chased silver has a Birmingham stamp dating to 1946 / 1971 TBC.
