An absolutely pristine set of African blackwood bagpipes hand turned by Joe Hagan (Henderson, Glen & Grainger) in the 1990’s under his Clan Bagpipe brand. I am not sure if these pipes were ever actually played! Meticulously combed and beaded with nickel ferrules, imitation projection mounts, ring caps and bushings. The tight grain on these pipes is nothing short of spectacular and the sidewalls are about as beefy as it gets. The original hide bag (stamped Clan Bagpipes) is included, it also seems to be in good shape, but the stocks were starting to loosen a bit and would need to be tied in again, as well as certainly seasoning the bag. Also comes with the original blackwood pipe chanter.
A magnificent set of pipes, by a reputable turner, using well-aged blackwood.
