This is a project that was commissioned as follows. The specs for this wood-mount, nickel Henderson bagpipe date back no later than the 1920s. The narrow & concave drone top necks between the cord grooves and tops of tuning chambers, and the chocolate-colored rings caps with casein bushes of these early vintage/original drone tops are consistent with this period. New drone bottoms and bass middle are select ABW restorations by Dunbar. The new stocks and blowpipe with matching beading, combing, and projection mount (blowpipe) were made (by Dundar) using Delrin to prevent any future splitting with use. Finish is lathe polished wax. The tone is typical vintage Henderson, robust and steady. Pipes are sold as sticks and stocks. Chanter is a user-preference item and is not included with this set.
