Full Ivory Peter Henderson Pipes dating from the 1960s. The pipes are stamped in no less that 4 locations on the drones: Under all 3 cords guides and the bas mid section under the mount. The stamp reads: P. HENDERSON LTD. In a similar trait to a lot of Starck bagpipes I have come across, sone of the blackwood has a distinctive red tone to it which I have done my best to highlight with the flash in the photographs (under normal lighting conditions the tone is not at all obvious), I find this to be a fine characteristic.
Exceptionally well cared for set of pipes which are in immaculate condition. The pipes have a big rich tone and tune comfortably up the pins.
The former keeper of these bagpipes was Tom Dingwall (1941-2019), Treasurer and Vice President of the College of Pipng and Pipe Major to Callander, Strathendrick, Goodyear and Clydebank & District.
