Well, you don’t see this combo very often.
McCallum Highland Bagpipes, plain turned, Celtic engraved alloy ferrules, chanter sole and mouthpiece (see pics). Chalice drone tops and Mopane wood mounts.
Very eye-catching.
I have had a bag on these (my own bag, blowstick and chanter) with drone reeds in and blown for about 20 minutes. I found no issues and they are very comfy to play.
Apart from the above, they look as new and never blown, which I think is actually the case. The blowstick stock is a split poly (plastic) stock that was made to match the set when made, so no parts missing. I am unable to add more pics to my listing but can do so if necessary upon enquiry.
Blue cords, Medium Goretex bag, bag cover, moisture control and McCallum branded case (used for storage of bagpipe accessories for a couple of months) all included.
The pics are influenced by flash photography; the contrast in the blackwood is not as obvious as the pics suggest.
No reeds.
In my opinion, the mouthpiece is heavy due to the alloy top. The alloy sole on the chanter is also weighty, but not so obvious, as it does keep the chanter in the right position.
Price, or very near offer. I am not adverse to a deal with bagpipe gear to offset some of the price. I’m looking for a Piob Mhor long practice chanter (other long chanters are available and if it’s unusual, you never know).
Postage to any UK postcode extra £30. Outside UK please ask.
Price is very fair. I will not complete any transaction that does not include conversion rate charges either to PayPal or my bank. I will send the amount I receive back from whence it came. Someone has already tried to scam me.
Slàinte,
Andi.
