Great item for added bling or restoration. RG Lawrie hand-engraved Celtic pattern mouthpiece with hallmarked sterling silver slide. Overall length is 5 3/4”. Authentication includes: “RGL” maker mark and UK sterling silver hallmarks rampant lion, Edinburgh castle, and year stamps in correct cartouches. The year stamp is worn and looks to be a letter B or D (1976 or 1978, respectively). The matching mouthpiece bulb shows careful use, the old patina has darkened creme colour like old ivory, the old-style tenon for the slide is intact, has fresh hemping, and is airtight. The black mouthpiece insert in the slide is intact, airtight, and in good condition. The internal diameters of the bulb and black slide insert are approximately 9/32”. The blowstick thread for the bulb looks like old style ~5/8” and does fit modern 9/16” modern blowpipe tenon with a bit of added hemp. I used this bulb for years with a 9/16” blowpipe tenon with no problems or air leakage.
