A lot of bagpipe for the money!
This set was made in the year 2000, by a premier modern maker, and is adorned with beautiful hallmarked sterling silver ferrules/slides and high quality imitation Ivory mounts. David Naill bagpipes may well have won the most prizes of any modern instrument, the instrument of choice for many top competitors over the last thirty years.
This example is in good condition for an instrument that is now over two decades old, showing just a few superficial chips to the wood and mounts. A small hairline crack formed in the bass top, although this was repaired professionally by Dunbar Bagpipes, so should cause no further issues. The chanter stock had some slight under-ferrule cracking, so this has been repaired and is now solid.
They are supplied as sticks and stocks, including an excellent ‘RJM’ plastic chanter (made by David Naill Bagpipes to Roddy MacLeod’s specification). All accessories can be provided at extra cost, to be arranged separately.
Please take a moment to listen to the recording below, my setup includes Ezeedrone tenor reeds and a cane bass, a sheepskin bag by Ciaren Ross (CROSS), and a Naill chanter with a MacPhee chanter reed.
