It is a difficult decision to sell my Henderson bagpipes but I do not play enough to justify keeping them. I have a set of Dunbar poly pipes that I really like.
Ron Bowen appraised and authenicated them. R.G. Hardie and others have guessed they are pre-WW1 P. Hendersons with elephant ivory fittings in expectional and original condition. No cracks are chips. These pipes match to the set that R. U. Brown played and was sold on Jim Gillivray’s website.
It includes a new Bannatyne sythetic bag, Canning reeds, a spare set of Eezedrone reeds and I think the original canes reeds. The bag cover and cords are new.
I have a partial history of these pipes. The previous owner can be seen playing them in the movie ‘The Way West”.
