Practice Chanter – William Sinclair of Leigh Scotland, this Practice Chanter is made of African Blackwood and engraved ‘W. Sinclair & Son, Leith Scotland’. Both the Ferrule and Sole (and bottom) are sterling silver and are engraved with the Scottish thistle design and stamped: D&N (silversmith name), the Anchor (hallmark of the Birmingham Assay Office), the Lion Passant (Sterling Silver) and date letter V (1970). The practice chanter top is plastic to prevent cracking due to moisture. It has 2 sections and measures approx. 19 inch long, it has seven (7) open keys on the top and one (1) on the reverse. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, scratches, broken parts or defects of any kinds.
