Pre 1960 R. G. Lawrie in blackwood and Catalin Sticks and stocks
These Lawrie’s were Purchased from Norfolk high school band. They had a Pipe band that was disbanded in the 60s. With the history of the band and the details of the pipes, they appear to be from the 50s to 60. These pipes have been in storage since the 1960s until I took position to them clean, polish and find them a good home. Since they were only used a few years when they were new, they are in good condition for their age. The Bass middle is from an older set and has a tenor size ferrule, but is a close match. There is a crack in one of the tenor mounts that has been repaired and some minor chips in the bass drone top. The pipes are unmarked but are confirmed to be Lawrie. The chanter included is a Granger chanter of the same vintage, and the Blow pipe stock is a Delrin reproduction. No blowpipe included. Buyer pays shipping |
