R.G. Hardie Twist Trap Practice Pipes are mouth-blown smallpipes with a long practice chanter and two drones. They have a softer and more mellow tone than the Great Highland Bagpipes, and they require less physical effort to play. They are pitched in the key of A at 440 Hz, and thus can be played along with a range of other instruments, and also with singers. They may be viewed as a bridge between the practice chanter and the Great Highland Bagpipes.
The Twist Trap blow piece is an innovative design for improved moisture control. This is important for kids, who usually produce more saliva than adults.
These pipes are nearly new.
