Blackwood pipes, with newly made delrin mounts, ferrules, and bushes. A post-war maker in the early Hardie/Henderson tradition, when the bores were still large and sound just as big. These drones are in a lovingly restored condition. Comes with additional delrin stocks for the chanter and new blowpipe for playing under rough environmental conditions without fear of cracking, and the originals used as patterns are included. These drones are tops for folk gigs because they are sturdy and easily tune to the pitch of other instruments (440-466 Hz), and may need short bass reed or a tube insert in the bass bottom for modern pitch.
