For sale I have a set of Ronnie Hein bagpipes in ABW, with blackwood mounts, nickel ferrules and premium imitation rings/ bushes. This is a lovely set and Ronnie’s work is excellent. This set is Ronnie’s own bore design inspired by Henderson sets. The turning is lovely and they sound great. I bought the set to work with Ronnie in testing them and also to work with Ronnie on a different range of pipes. I am selling a few sets as I need to get the collection down a bit and this set deserves to be played. Also comes with Ronnie’s ABW chanter. They are in excellent condition, they have been my band practice set for the last few months.
All the parts on the set are threaded and everything is handmade by Ronnie. The nickel is the classic old style thick rolled nickel that you see on old Henderson pipes.
