This set of bagpipes has had a refurb where the original mounts were replaced with catalin, possibly due to damage or defects, before I owned them. The timber and ferrules are all original and in excellent condition. Based on the beading and deep combing there is a query as to whether they are a set of Starck of London bagpipes, but others who have checked them out are less sure as to who they may be. Either way, these pipes are extremely well made and produce an excellent tone. Slimmer profile than usual, so very suitable for all pipers, youngsters included.
