New on the market as introduced just before the Worlds last month, Soundmax has developed a robust carbon fibre drone reed with outstanding sound. I bought 2 sets. The reeds are full and vibrant, and bring a “drone forward” sound to the pipes. Soundmax has videos on Facebook and Youtube demonstrating the reeds, I encourage you to take a listen. They’re really nice reeds.
However… my wife is insisting I have too much bagpipe stuff (is that even possible?) and I need to thin the herd. I have convinced her I can keep one set of these reeds but the other one has to go.
This set of reeds is 100% brand new- the package is still sealed as shipped from Soundmax.
They cost me 110 GBP for each set (95 GBP plus half of the 30 pound shipping cost) which is $146.76 at today’s rate.
Since they need to go urgently, selling for $110 USD including tracked shipping anywhere in the USA.
