Offered for sale: unknown set of very old fully natural mounted bagpipes. Pipes were lightly refurbished by The Bagpipe Place a year ago. A thick lacquer, which was not original to the pipes, was stripped and pipes were re-finished revealing a bit of a mystery. Originally thought to be cocuswood, now believed to possibly be Argentinian Keranda wood. Stable airtight crack in bass stock was repaired at this time as well. Original blowpipe and blowpipe stock were not present when I acquired this bagpipe. I have replaced with a poly split stock with aged imitation mount. No chanter included. Drones are of a larger bore and produce a very full and harmonically robust tone. I have found these to be very steady and pleasing to work with with a number of drone reed combinations.
